I just installed a TR230 and love it. It's a bitch to tune, but once you get there, it drives great and feels awesome. I'm having tranny issues right now, so it's hard to say how much of a gain I noticed, but with shifting at 5800 on the 2-3 shift (It's all it will currently hold) it still feels like a beast. It pulls so much harder, especially on top end. I likey...and I can't wait to get the tranny ironed out so I can likey even more. I'd recommend it for sure. It's an older cam, but it's proven itself time and again.

TR 230 is my vote. Ive read both cams are very great performers but the tr230 more power under the curve.. and thats what counts.

Here's a good read on the TR230. Quite impressive!

I too was going to go with a PatG custom 230/230, but I found a hell of a deal on this cam and snagged it. I talked to PatG and he said it would work well. It makes awesome torque all the way across the power band.

If you aren't doing a H/C package, I'd just stay with the LS6 intake. The FAST 90 makes more power, but IMO not enough to justify the cost with a cam only setup. I think another ~10 rear wheel or so is what you might see vs the LS6 intake.
You might throw an UD pulley on there instead since you'll have the stocker off anyway. That's another ~10 rear wheel or so for a lot less than a FAST setup. Just an idea .

TR = thunder racing. They have "the" exact cam mentioned, not sure if you'd find it from another place. Most places I've seen sell the cams themselves for the same/close to the same price. FWIW I bought my custom one from Thunder along with a bunch of other stuff and was incredibly pleased with the customer service.
