Default passing smog california

has anyone in cali put an ls7 and passed smog because i know the guy at the smog station and he said it would fail due to my computer not matching the block and causing the check engine light to come on oir something and has anyone visited the referee and got their car to pass are they leniant on it as long as it blows clean

scanner to delete codes maybe? That or get it with a stock LS7 pcm...

pcm idea I would think you might have to anyways, not to sure though.

It should pass no problem. Since the 02's don't have EGR, that's one thing you don't have to worry about. Most technicians won't be able to the tell the difference between an LS1 and an LS7, the details are very minor. The computer should not throw any codes either. Are you dropping in an LS7 crate motor? If so, you will need do something with the computer because the reluctor wheels on the cranks are different. I'm not educated on how to remedy this though. Do a search.
