Default Anyone had or heard of this problem while running any cam

ever since ive installed the vrx3 cam ive had this tapping noise coming from the vlavetrain. before it would come and go but it has since become more and more steady. ive checked the rockers and lifters(as best as i could) and didnt see any problems. has anybody had to or heard of wether or not stock pushrods can be used with this cam? Vengenance racing said it was fine and i trust them but every application is different so im wondering if i may need a longer pushrod. another reason that leads me to this thinking is some information i was given by David (mighty mouse) in that when u tighten down the rocker studs you should be able to turn them atleast 1 1/4 turn-3 full turns before they be come snug at which point you would torque them down. while mine start becoming snug not even at a full turn which means they arent getting compressed enough. has anyone else heard of this reasoning before?

this is a stock engine with stock heads and stock valves.. stock valve tip heights... stock rockers 7.40 comp pushrods, stock lifters.

i feel the lifters are not being preloaded enough

the sound is too random to be a specific rocker or lifter.... they all sound 'ok' but on the edge of tapping

did he say specifically that the base circle was = to that of a stock cam?

maybe your valve tips are worn, greg in the car club had some that were just shorter for some reason.

wow so comp said you should run from 7.45 to 7.5 pushrods on this cam they make for vengance?

does vengance have a response to that?

what about the money you all ready spent on 7.4 pushrods.. is that just tuff ******* for you?
