Default Darton Sleeves

1. Just wondering about the reliability by going this route?
2. Will it last for high mileage street use as well as racing?
3. What is the safest max bore when boosting or nitrous use?
4. What is the pro/cons with Darton vs regular resleeving?
5. Who do you think or recommend for going either route?

I know I want to go bigger with my project just wondering which is better? I don't post much but do learn alot from other peoples posts. And because I live in Hawaii, I want to buy the best so I don't have to send anything back.

No one here can do any kind of resleeving yet for our cars.

Default Re: Darton Sleeves

I think you can do a search and get more information, but the darton's are considered a stronger system that simply resleeving, and there is no chance of dropping a liner. Initial concerns with gasket leaks seem to have pretty much been covered. Also, it is fairly difficult to avoid cracking the water jacket (and ruining the block) to get the liner type sleeve in, so this is a concern as well.

I dont plan on using nitrous or boost on my setup, so I cant really speak to that, other than I know people are doing it. My car is a street car primarily, that sees the strip somewhere around 6-12 times in a year.

Hope that helps.
