Default Mahle pistons...

I got a great deal on a set of 4.030" Mahle pistons, I went ahead and ordered them. I'm only going to be using them in the tow motor for my truck, pulling my new race boat. I have no previous experience with Mahle, are they a pretty good, reputable product?

Mahle was the OE manufactureer of the pistons in the ls1 and lsx family. Excelent product with a killer ring pacakge.Just make sure they are properly installed. They also run a very close piston to bore clearance and have very specific break in and bore finish needs as well as ring orentiation. that being said if al instillation protocls are followed as directed they are a very durable trouble free piston with excelent wear charecteristics.
