Default trick flow heads what pushrod length

need some help 1999 ls1 with 595 cam trick flow heads, what pushrod length?
head cam kit came with 7.700 and they didnt work, car ran with alot of valve train noise and 300 miles later tips of 3 push rods gone all tips worn, the 3 really worn ones are about a 1/4 inch smaller,do you needs to shim the rocker stands? using harland sharp non adjustables.trick flow said 7.500 are the proper length but there to small. need advice

should be 7.500. thats what they come with now. when i measured my tfs 215's that were milled to 60cc and assuming .080 preload i got a 7.450. im using caddy lifters i think the preload is in the .050-.060 range on ls1 lifters though. not 100% sure.

so id say 7.425-7.400. easiest way is to get a pushrod legth checker. takes the guess work out of it.

I agree....... A 30 dollar PR ckecker will save you a grand worth of new PR's, lifters, cam, and labor.. Cause if you wearing them down that bad, your more than likely destroying everything else..

Give me a call I can help you get dialed in! If you had valvetrain noise with 7.700's then you probably need a 7.725-7.750. Sounds like something is definitely wrong.

Mines is a touch noisy as well. 225's milled to 61cc 7.700 PR's. When I adjusted to zero lash, it then took a touch over half a turn to 22 ft lbs. That seems about right.
