Default How much different are these two cams?

218/222 114lsa

and

215/232 .601/.579 LSA 119

The first I saw dyno'd 399/389 has 3.42's

mine is 365/347 with 4.10's

Is the LSA the key here?

LSA deals with how sharp the inclines on the lobes are. The Lower the LSA the meaner it will sound, and I beleive you will se mainly torque gains from the lower LSA.

Man, that aint right! LSA = lobe separation angle. Its the angle (measured in cam degrees) between the centerline of the intake and exhaust lobes.

How close the .006, .050, and .200 durations are to one another gives you a general idea of how agressive the lobe is.

But yes, the tighter LSA might show a little more down low.

A lower LSA will also produce a choppy idle.

I may have read my cam card wrong, its' 118.4 lsa if it matters

But still the big diff in numbers? The specs of both cars were quite similar except for the gears.

The 1st cam I listed, is in the CAM Only thread, theres a dyno graph that looks real good to me, lots of torque under the curve!
