Default Changing Valve Springs

I'm swapping out the valvesprings in my '98 SS. Just wondering if anyone has any tips/suggestions for me before I tackle the project. Thanks in advance.

Don't drop a valve!

What method are you using to keep the valves up, TDC or air compressor?

Keep a pen magnet handy for pulling off the keepers or picking up a dropped one.

Like Vents said,... "do the back ones first." Its all down hill after those.

...patience is a virtue.

With the right valve spring tool and some compressed air, it's not THAT bad. Take the advise of some previous posts and get some magnets to prevent losing any parts!!! Let us know how it turns out.

Good luck,
Richard

I'm using compressed air with the Spark plug adapter to keep the valves up. Good advice about doing the back ones first. I plan on doing the drivers side first, back to front, and then the passengers side, back to front. I'm using the More Tool to take the springs off. I also have a pen magnet for the keepers. Thanks for the advice guys, keep it coming.
