Default JP double roller timing chain question

Now ive read all the stickies and know how to line dot to dot on all timing sets ive run into...but this JP double roller has one dot on the cam gear and none that goes over the crank...they "advise" to use a wheel to degree it, but have any of you guys run into this or have used this timing chain?

plus, kinda off that topic..but im finishing up installing everything that is listed in my sig after i figure this out, meaning it went from stock to the mods in my sig...what type of gaines should I expect?

crank gear does have a dot on it. it is there, it will be to the left of the zero crank key on the crank sprocket. it's very small but there.
