Price range?

Whatever you do, get something with around an 11:1 SCR, so that you can make some decent torque with it.

My TV2 and TSP LS6 stage 1 heads made 420whp. Heads were like 1100 with the dual springs installed. Pretty cheap for the amount of power.

I have stage 2.5 5.3 heads from TSP with my torquer 2.
Made 435rwhp 390rwtq. IMO best bang for the buck

I made 390 tq. It should also be noted those numbers were on a SuperFlow dyno, which reads about like a Mustang

a good bang for the buck would be a ls6 head ported if you can afford it stage 1 or 2 would be plenty anuf i wouldnt mill them and just run a .40 mil gasket i made 428 rwh and 411 rwt on a mustang dyno i got mine from patriot $500 for heads guides and new valves couldnt beat it there not ported thow i gainded 28 h and 11 ftp with just swaping the heads i go to the same dyno every year and that was the only changes i made to the car that year i was happy

Hmm, maybe I need to swap heads... I put down 395/370 on a mustang type dyno through a 9".

5.3 heads will give you more compression than the ls6's without having to mill them, and they are cheaper. something to consider.

what is the difference between the LS6 and 5.3L heads (assuming both are the PRC stage 2.5 heads)? The 5.3 has higher compression then the LS6 heads? Which ones flow better?
which will give u more power on a head and cam setup?

You dont need to switch heads, you just need to not go to that shitty dyno with people that dont know how to run it

Wow. That seems low in comparison to most people on here. You should be plenty over 400rwhp.

i think the ls6 heads will outflow the 5.3s by a little bit. not much though.

something to consider is the size of the intake runner between the 2.

i think the 5.3s are somewhere around 220cc....which isn't great for low/mid range pwer and torque...but it's not bad either.

i know some of the ls6 heads a few years ago were in the high 22x and low 23x range.
something to inquire about with the company
