Default going LS6 cam.....need different pushrods?

I just ordered some stage 1 CNC ls6 heads from livernois, already have an slp ls6 intake for my 2000 and am going to go with the LS6 production cam.

I have read somewhere before that for some reason you need to change to a different length pushrod if you run that cam, does anybody have any info on that?

Thanks

dude, for the time and money, in my opinion, the ls6 cam isn't going to show much of a gain at all.

I know that there are a lot of guys out there ready to argue the same point (However, I find it hard to imagine that the LS6 ZO6 cam wont show any improvement over my 00' LS1 cam.) but let me say first that I want a smog (sniffer) legal set-up without the hassle or the worry of "which cam?" will work in Cali.

So before anyone else posts the same remark as above, this is the cam I want and am going to get. So anybody that has one or has installed one, I would only like my initial question answered.

Thank you

ls6 springs and 7.350 ls6 pushrods, are needed, ls6 cam has smaller base circle than ls1 cam, 7.350 pushrods are stock for 02-04 ls6 z06

but if your heads are milled and running different head gaskets than ls1 bore, such as mls 6.0 gaskets, then notthing will be as intended or stock, so i would measure pushrod length and go with what ever comes out to. u can find pr's in all lengths now and thickness.
i alwys check ptv and pr length anyway

well i have a 99 and i added TSP ls6 stage 1 heads with ls6 cam and ls6 springs. TSP said i could reuse my stock pushrods which i now have 2 summers of driving and aprox 5k plus miles with NO PROBLEMS. ps and several dyno runs. also if you havent already ordered maybe go with better springs than ls6 just for added insurance. you'll gain about 20rwhp on both cam and heads. (40 total) i like the heads, the cam is small and does not give great dyno numbers. positive is it idles at 600 rpm with no lope sound. great drivability (just like stock) if thats what you want.

Thanks for all the replies. No the heads are not milled. They are stage 1 livernois heads which have their custom springs rated at .580 lift, which I think will do just fine with this cam.

And yes I'm looking for near stock Idle and emmisions, I just want a stout SS.

So the 7.350 is the LS6 PR length? So what does the LS1 have stock?
