Default I need opinions on choosing a cam!

alright cam people, what kind of cam should i go with? check my sig for my mods! i would like my power band to be around 2000-6800. i dont want to spin the motor any more than 6800. i also have stock heads and a stock bottom. i want the cam to rattle me out of the car. im thinking 226/226 .575/.575 112lsa. any ideas or opinions! thanx in advance!

I say get the biggest cam possible so you dont have to end up buying another cam later. Maybe a tr 230 or a g5x2?

Sounds good as long as you don't have to pass emissions. You might want to check into some gears for that M6 car, though; otherwise you'll be using your clutch a lot to get off the line. 4.30 or 4.56 ought to do it for the bigger cams.

emissions wont be a problem. it seems like the 230/224 is a popular cam. thou it seems that this cam is a 3000-7000 rpm range. does anyone run the 226/226? and if so is my gearing ok for this cam. also what about a 227/224? thunder recommended this one also!
