Default 218/224 .555/.556 115+4 Cam. What springs to use??

Would the 918 springs work well? I DO NOT want springs that I'll have to check every 10k miles or anything. I want to be able to throw em in my car and run it forever (if possible lol).

The reason I'm asking about the 918's is because I can always find em super cheap on the board here. Also heard about the patriot gold dual springs being good too though

You should be able to run 918s with that cam, no problem. Just don't expect them to last 100k miles.

I ran LS6 springs on the cam I ran thats simular to yours but they were just temporary. It ran fine all the way to 6700(which was over rev) without valve float on the dyno just to see lol.

Thunder Racing isn't selling any 918's at the moment. I think there may be a recall from Comp.

I just ordered the PAC equivalent from sdparts.

I personally would get the PAC 1518's (I think that's the number). They are basically 918's with a surface treatment to extend life. Other option is the PSI 1511ML's (Max Life). Both are excellent springs.

damn! those pac 1518's are good to .650 lift! And they're $326 from their website! This is a budget build guys. The pac 1218's look okay, they're good to .600 lift and only $183.

Didnt the 918's already get redone so there's no issue with them anymore?

Use sdparts.com (sponsor):

The part number is SDL1600VS and again, we have plenty in stock! They will sell for $122.95 for the set of 16, while supplies last!!

There is someone on here from PAC. The web site prices were supposed to be updated and lowered. I wouldn't give up on them so quickly, they are a great spring. Also google for a GP on them.
