Default Where to check oil pressure?

Im going to be getting a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Do you just screw it in where the sensor goes? I would think that would be a pain, any other spots on an ls1?

you can tap into the bypass plate above the oil filter.. some (F-Body) ones have a nipple that can be drilled and tap to NPT thread and your good !

The bypass plate above the oil filter is the best place to do this since there is already a boss there to drill and tap. of course be sure to remove all metal shavings from the plate before reinstall and to use thread tape on the fitting.
