Default another LS6 cam question

Just how does the 2002 LS6 cam idle? Is it 100% smooth like the stock cam in my 2001 6.0 or my 2002 5.3? Or does it have some lope to it. Thinking about putting one in the whipple charged 6.0 truck. Also do the stock retainers and keepers work with the GM LS6 springs or do I have to buy LS6 stuff? Thanks alot for any suggestions.

It idles 100% stock. My father has a Z06 Corvette and it idles dead stock.

True . . . they idle exactly like a stock LS1 . . . blindfolded you'd never be able to tell the difference.

Another vote for how stock it sounds! If I didn't install it myself and someone swapped it without me knowing I would not have had one idea it's not the stock cam. However while rowing through the gears and especially at higher RPMs the engine sounds alot healthier and sounds like it has more muscle than a stock LS1.

It is on the way with matching springs-I was told that the stock retainers and keepers will work. Now if those new pistons would arrive.....
