I don't know too much technical stuff about cars, but I'm considering buying a 98 z28 w/ around 80k and it has a bunch of stuff done to it. from what i remember it has cams, headers, chip, and the exhaust is cut at the y pipe (so theres no muffler or pipes sticking out the back of the car). I was just wondering what could possibly go wrong in the near future with this car, i only want it for about a year. and also, is there anyway it could legally pass smog w/ the cams?

and there r no 'chips'... without an exhaust, its gonna be loud, smog depends on what ur state checks, it might not pass regular inspection without an exhaust... does it at least have the stock Y pipe with converters?
