Default curious...383 w/ my cam and dart 205s

just doing some hypothetical shopping...

i'm considering buying the Dart 205 heads for my current setup....

and in the future (years most likely) i'd love to upgrade to a 383 ls1 block.

soooo

my cam 233/233 .589 112
383 ci
Dart 205 heads

would this make a torque monster down low??

The heads will restrict you. I know because I currently have 205s on my 383 and they are a restriction. I wish I had the 225s because of the room to grow. As fars as the cam it should make decent numbers. I have a bigger cam and made 475 rwtq out of my setup.

Here was the graph before the engine was broken in. I have never scanned my final graph, but it was only a few HP and TQ higher than this one.

Save your money for the trick flows, you wont be dissapointed. I wish I had the money at the time to buy them but, I went and bought some other heads instead. The trick flows are a very high quality piece.

It is not a bad setup. With the 3.90 gears I have in the back it is a monster on the street. It really works good at the local road track as well. The car has great low end so it comes out the turns real quick. I am waiting for my new set of heads to see what the potential really is for this car. I have a set of Ls6 heads over at Larry Meaux's for his Max Effort job.
