Default Oil line on top of filter

got a 98 camaro I bought in pieces. It looks like a hose comes out of the top of the engine oil filter (its a threaded hole) but no line is there. I've got a box of parts but no Idea where this line is supposed to go. Is there a stock cooler? Basically I need to know the oil flow pattern..(crank case to filter, filter to cooler, cooler to engine?) Any help appreciated (PICS WELCOME )

It is just a bypass plate to route the oil system. On some cars and truck, it is used with an adpater to add a Oil Cooler. There are aftermarket kits to add it as well as factory systems.

Many use it to add a aftermarket oil sender (elec or manual sensor)
