Default preliminary results indicate +38

Anyone who knows what I'm talking about will know what I'm talking about. I dont have the graphs to compare so I can't say more right now, I was in a hurry and didn't grab anything. I will post up the graphs and final numbers and all differences as soon as I can.

38 rwhp gain with the AFR 205s over the much heralded Terminator heads? That's a huge gain. I imagine you added other components for the overall gains too, right? Mamo ported FAST? Yella Terra Ultralights? Better cam?

So was I full of bull or does this "recipe" make the numbers?

Well I'm on as mustang dyno to begin with but it is the same dyno as all my other results so its a good comparison as far as that goes but yes it wasn't just a straight head for head swap. I want to be fair and accurate. It looked like my number was 427 but the torque carried all the way til 6500 rpms. Last time I dynoed I believe I was at 389 with the terms and the fast 90. I (was in a hurry to get my kids from school so I didnt have time to print all the graphs and do a real accurate comparison) but from what I remember I had lost power when I added the fast 90 and thats where the trouble with TSP started. The fact I added better headers and a fast 90 and an EWP and gained nothing.

It does look how ever as though the ls6 intake with the Terms is a better option as I put down 410 with an ls6 intake previously with the Terms. That was the whole problem with TSP... better intake netted less power.

In general I'm still disappointed with my numbers but not the results from AFR. The car runs smooth and has great power. I'm very happy that I netted +38, but not so stoked that it was only 427 but it is a mustang dyno and my 9" rear and 3.89 gears are eating some power.

I'm done modding for a while, although I am going to reconfigure the Y pipe still, already have the collector, and add new tips. I might look for a different catback as well, not sure. The SLP d/d has been great but maybe thats robbing me, not sure, but a magnaflow might be in order.

Bob at EPP will be getting some serious pm's from me in regards to 11.3:1 compression and a s/c with meth kit. I've got the sickness and boredom to want to keep going but there is only so much you can do with a hydraulic lifter 347 and I'm tapped out on money for a while.

Plus I still have the n2o to get going properly and the engine was built for a 300 shot.

My car checks in at 4050 lbs wiht me in it. That was a major consideration for Tony Mamo. How to get a heavy pig rolling and still pop a good peak number. Its not just about dyno nunbers its how quick the car is as well. We could have gone with a bigger cam.. say 240/244 or soemthing to that effect but what would that do for me off the line or at a traffic light? With the weight of my car you can't just throw in the biggest cam you can find. Its a heavy street car not a lightweight drag car. Big difference there.

The work that Tony did on the low and mid lift numbers shows in how the cars drives effortlessly at low rpms.

Why cant I just be satisfied?

Now as far as TSP goes. I still say they have best prices and they are good guys to go to. I've bought a ton of stuff from them and have been very happy with them and will buy from them again if I need something. They always treated me good, gave me discounts and I have a nice T-shirt from them as well. Buy from them, they will not do you wrong at all.
The Terms were just a bad part to our relationship.
I made as much power with a tr224 and their PRC 5.3 heads as a 230/232 and TEA 5.3 heads and out pulled it all the way to 6000 rpms so they do make a good head. Their ls6 head produces great results as well. I just didnt have any luck with the Terms and was not happy about it. Throwing better parts at it didnt help and that just exasperated my disatisfaction and it got a little ulgy. I appologize for that, maybe it should have been handled differently, not sure how. People needed to know what my results were.

Glad your happy with the car now bro! I wish we could have looked over those Terminators to see why you didn't make the power everyone else makes...

These arent off the shelf AFR's. That needs to be said along with all the other changes. I went from a 234/240 112 lsa cam to a 238/240 113 lsa as well as a non-ported fast90 to a Mamo ported Fast90. Plus I have the YT ultra lite rockers as well.
Its not for the weak hearted.

Plus there are others who have had great results with the Terms.

TSP has the best price for AFR's as well. If I was going to buy them right out of the box I'd get them from Jason and the boys at TSP. My heads have been massaged by Tony as well as the valves being upgraded so I didnt go through them, I went straight to Tony@AFR.

I'm just not sure if the 200cc heads are enough to feed my stroker, thats all. The heads themselves are great.
