Default I have two cams help me pick one please

I drop my car off saturday for install, so i have to choose quick.

I am new to this so please forgive my knowledge. I have a c6 vette with ls2. I plan to install afr heads 64cc, ported fast and t body, and of course my cam. I do have the bolts on's AR headers, intake, etc.

My two cams are a TR 227/227 .640/.640 on a 116+4 and a LG G51xe I dont know the specs but lets say 228/232 .588/.574 on 115 (specs are not given on this cam, I bought it used for 200 bucks

I plan on driving the car daily and just farting around at the track everyonce in a while. I assume the TR cam will give me more high end but i really dont know. Any feedback on these cam would be much greatful. I dont plan on buying any more cams these are it. Thanks

If you get the TR cam with all that lift, make sure you get the 8019 spring upgrade on your AFR 205 heads. If you do that, cam 1 will be faster.

Of course, if you're only going to do the cam change once, perhaps you should consider something a little more ideal for your mods. Something with a little narrower LSA and less advance ground in.

I do have the double spring upgrade on the heads, so you are saying i would get my power with the TR cam? Would this cam be more of the high end power? Thanks

The TR cam will give you good top end, but the early EVO will hurt the low end torque some. That's why I like the narrower LSA. You can keep the intake centerline at 112, but you can open the exhaust later at 45.5 degrees BBDC instead of 53.5. That 8 degree difference will pump up your low and mid-range torque while not hurting your top end power. The resultant cam would be 227/227 112LSA +0. Same IVO and IVC, but the EVO and EVC are moved 8 degrees later.

Well, I would say that one you have would be an "ok" choice, but a custom cam is never a bad way to go.
