Default MS3 cam only. What do i need???

So over winter I'm gonna go cam only with the ms3 and most likely a 3600 or 3800 stall. What else do you all recomend I get to go along with it? My current mods are in sig and will also be looking for a ls6 intake to be put on at the same time. I read another thread about upgrading the injectors so I might do that as well since I have a 99. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I went with the ms3 and a 3800 stall, wish I would of went bigger like 4000 or 4200. My stall is tight though as I am running nitrous. Gears are a must also.

Get the cam swap kit with it! Underdrive pulley no doubt. You need some suspension mods lower control arms, panhard rod at the least

Wouldn't hurt to change the timing chain also. SVO 30#'ers would work and give you enough room to add heads later on.

Gears..you need gears.
My MS3 did ok with 3.23s, but holy crap! 3.73s woke that cam up.
3600-4000+ stall converter - depending on your application
I opted for a 4000 stall w/6000rpm shift extensions.

Get the Cam Kit, its the best way to go, thats what I did.The PRC kit is the best, it has the dual springs that give you years of abuse that the road and track dish out.The push rods are a VERY important upgrade too because the new springs take alot of pressure, stock wont last long at all. Like the rest said, timing chain next(im still running the stock but need to upgrade, not safe), stall(must), transmission shift kit(good kit), and thin when you break the axles later 12 bolt.I havent broke mine yet but ut feels like its coming quick.Just do smart upgrades and things will last.

Complete cam kit from texas speed, timing chain, ls6 oil pump, injectors probably (i had to do this), ls6 intake, underdrive pulley, and a TUNE. thats about everything i did with my cam swap. def going to want gears too. im running with the stock 3.42's right now until the rear goes but it really wants a gear to drive better. good luck with it and by the way, that exhaust is going to LOUD, click my link and ull see.

You want a yank PT4400 for that cam and some 4:10 gears. Upgrade your springs and pushrods. Other things like an LS6 oil pump and LS2 chain are VERY nice preventive maintenance to do while you're in there. A FAST 90/90 should be worth 20-25hp over an LS6 intake with an MS3, and an LS6 worth 20 over a LS1. U/D pulley is optional, but it will allow you to rev a bit faster and free up a couple ponies. When your trans goes out (and it will because you shift an MS3 at 6800-7000, stock trans won't do that more than a few times) get your 4L60 rebuilt and add a cooler. Sticky tires on it, and you may also be looking to upgrade the rear end. A Moser or Strange 12 bolt would be nice for an A4. And if you plan on spinning the 99 stock bottom end to 6800+, you might want to check into replacing the connecting rod bolts.. I've heard from a lot of people here that you can spin a bearing if you don't b/c the bolts aren't that strong and can stretch allowing a bearing to let go
.

Just dont plan on spinning your motor past 6500. I shift around 6K to 6300 or so. And use a good synthetic oil like AMS Oil
