Default quick head swap question

I'm getting some take off heads from my buddies car.

Do I need to mill them or anything before I put them on my car?

Or just clean them up and go?

thanks

You can just clean them up but you could also take them to the machine shop and have them take like .002 off just to give you a perfectly flat and clean surface to work with.

If you want to raise your compression you can mill the heads a couple cc and run a different head gasket to get 8.5-8.7 dcr.

Should give you some better numbers. Mine as well if your heads are gunna be off the car.
