Default Forged 347 Gasket

I have a forged 347, so what size bore gasket do I need? I assume they took this extra cube from the bore, and not the stroke....

3.905 is your bore now I believe. I used Felpro 1041's per Tony Mamo with my AFR's.

Chris...

The main reason I recommended a 1041 for you was two-fold....your chambers were ported and opened up to that size (necessitating the larger bore gasket) and two for less worries about sealing up antifreeze (which ironically backfired!).

To the original poster you can still use a gasket aimed at a stock displacement build....the couple of thou larger per side your engine is wont make a difference. Ideally you would want a gasket larger than 3.905 and probably smaller than 3.950. You could run bigger but would be giving up some compression needlessly.

Cheers,
Tony
