Ls1 oil pump question??? Hey guys I am doing a cam swap soon and was wandering do I really need a ls6 ported oil pump or can I use the new ls1 pump I have here??

I put a non ported LS6 pump. The LS1 pumps were prone to failure which is the major reason people replaced them. Porting just helps get more oil pressure. I would probably not use your new LS1 pump, but that's just cause people have scared the **** out of me with LS1 pump stories.
