I've done alot of searching also on them and the results I've seen have been far from stellar. I'd go with Patriots if you want a budget head.

Darts are a good value. I'd def. clean up the castings on them before installing. The chambers need smoothing with a dremel and doing the same to the ports is a good idea too.

Dart heads are a good bang for the buck, have good parts installed and have potential if you want to port them or work them more in the future. They have thicker decks and a better chamber design than stock. I have been running the 205's problem free for a couple of years because at the time I bought them they were a really good buy and I used the money I saved to get a set of Morel lifters. Out of the box they will also bump your compression due to the 62cc chamber. They won't provide the same performance as a set of AFR's though. This year my budget is allowing me to upgrade so I am going to a set of AFR's and will sell the Darts.

There was an article on the head installation on an LS2 about a year ago with Dart, AFR, TFS, Livernois and Edelbrock. Did you read that article? For the price, the Darts did pretty good. They didn't produce the same as some of the other heads obviously but it wasn't that bad either.

I bought them a few months ago for my car. I like the fact that they are ready to bolt on out of the box and can handle lift to .620, and have the smaller combustion chambers. Plus they are new castings instead of being welded and reworked. At the time I bought these, some of the modified factory heads were having problems such as the rocker studs breaking away so I wasn't going that route. And if I ever go bigger on the cubes I can do a little port work on them and have a good match. I don't have any numbers yet, but I can tell you my car feels like it is making great power in the mid range and pulling hard on up, athough I'm still shifting at 6200 for now.

I've seen DART's used on a few of projects from FUTRAL. Each one of them was VERY impressive, I'd give them a call and get their opinion !!!!

Do the Darts have thicker decks than stock? I have heard it both ways and don't know for sure.
