Default 918 springs with a torquer2 cam

hey i was looking at buying the tsp torquer 2 cam an dgetting the 918 springs, it says springs are good to 600 lift and proven good in applications up to .625 lift, what does everyone think?

Yes they will work, but you might want to look at the New 928s

You could try SDPC and get a set of there black box springs, which are basically as good if not better then the comp 918. Considerable price difference as well. Ill be using them on my setup and as opposed to the 918's i havent heard of these breaking like the 918's. I was turned on to these while doing a search and looking at the 918's. Link is included

I was wondering the same thinking of the torq2 but how high does the torq2 take the powerband is it past 6500rpms? and whats the normal shift point on a head cam AUTO with the torq2?

That depends on the LSA/ICL of that cam and shift points are "trial and error" at track (to determine the best), otherwise rule of thumb is 300>500 rpm past peak.

I am using the SDPC "black box" springs with a torquer2 cam. They are actually PAC 1218 springs and they should handle it as long as the installed spring height is ~1.75.

i ran the 918s with a TV2 for 8k miles had no issues
