With the cam and headers I'm putting in this weekend, I'll be around 370+(I'm hoping).

I don't want to spend much on heads if I don't have to so I'm wondering if simply going to the 243 casting heads will give me that extra 20-30hp I need or should I just pony up the extra $450 to get Patriot heads.

I don't think they would give you 20-30 hp. Maybe like 5hp.

I went through the same thing. I just waited....waited and then! Patriot Stage II heads for 800$ In the for sale thread. Ive read there a very good head, and plus you can sell your stock ones and get a little money back. Also, you'll most likely be over 425rwhp with a good set of heads/cam and a M6.

i made 380 with a 224/226 cam, stock ls6 heads, and full exhaust

Thats like a small cam though isn't it? Those are good numbers though. M6? A4?

Ive got stock LS6 heads and a Torq 2 cam with full bolt ons and made 402 to the wheels with an A4.
Stock 243's are good for more than 5HP. More like 10-20 HP.

How much will Patriot stage II's gain you over stock heads?

Just spend the extra money on the patriot stg 2 heads, thats what Im running and Im running a 228/230 .585/.585 lift cam and I put down 445rwhp and 420ft lbs. you should be able to hit your numbers.
