Default Milled Heads & Piston Clearance

I may be missing something here. But, I have noticed that with the LS1 engine TDC is slightly above the deck. If you have heads milled, are there any clearance issues. Not with valve clearance, but with the head itself and the piston. My heads are at the machine shop being ported and milled. It is a shop that builds race engines and has worked with LS1 heads, so I'm sure he knows about if there is problem. Just wanted to post the question here and get some feedback.

The piston doesn't go above the head gasket so it is independent of how much you mill the heads. ONly issue is the piston gets closer to the valves

just do the basic putty thing to see if the valves are hitting the piston when you re assemble it, I think you know what I'm talkin about right?
