Um, pedal count?
A4=4L60E
M6=Tremec T-56

Shouldn't this be in transmisson? I don't think the engine internals are much different stock a4 to stock M6, but some custom engines are built with more valve clearance in M6 apps in case of overrev/ missed 3-4 shift.

The diff is manual or an automatic trans? think that answers your question

M6's have two overdrive ratios, wheres A4's have only one. This gives the M6 a wider range and allows you to run better performance ratios in the rear differential before you start to notice a hit in fuel economy. I run a 4.11 axle ratio and get virtually the same fuel economy as I did with the stock 3.42's. A3's have a stock ratio of 3.23 or 2.73.
