Default my electric autometer gauge seems to stay at 50 psi.. why?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it is an autometer electric oil pressure gauge, ultra lite series

just installed it today. i put it in the spot that sits on top of where the oil filter is. i turn the key on and it goes to 50psi.... i start the car and run it, it stays at 50psi.. run it thru high rpm... stays at 50psi! whats up with that? i did a search and the only thing i could think of is the sender that came with it could be bad?? i wired it correctly.. thanks in advance for any help that u may provide!

Likley a bad sensor. If it wasn't grounded it would peg the guage and if it wasn't seeing power it would be at zero. So most likley with it stuck in the middle it'll be the sensor.
