This needed to be shared....
I know this doesn't belong here and if any of you mods want to move it feel free, but this is a really alarming situation that in the future perhaps some guidelines could be put in place to try and make this type of thing more difficult to pull off. Banning a particular screen name is really only so-so effective as this case clearly illustrates.
Part of me would like to say it's entertaining....and in some respects it is, but it's really more alarming and sad than anything else.
I believe it's being brought to the attention of other mods and this guy's IP address will hopefully be banned soon....

Thank you for sharing Tony!
It's easy for all of us honest traders to have a run of good trading experiences and let our defenses down, its at that time a scammer like this rears their ugly head and can take advantage.
Its good to get a wake up call like this, on an attempted scam, to keep the honest guys aware.

That guy should be banned. As far as him stating that the only reason that he gave himself a trader rateing was that people would buy from him is a BS excuse. When I first sold some thing without a trader rating people would just research and see that Ive been here awhile. I had no problems selling. It gives honest people a hard time to sell as people become overly cautios, and rightfully so. I haven't had any problems with selling here, but guys like this should just be banned end of story

Thanks for posting Tony.
Is there a way of determining if a used manifold has been ported by you??
I have been considering purchasing a ported FAST and would like to know how to tell if it's the real deal.

Yea, send him pics and ask
Tony, you should start etching your name or something onto the intakes you've done. That would be extremely simple and prevent a lot of this crap from happening. That closes that can of worms, but of course opens another in that someone could then do more porting on an intake you've done, screw it up, and say it was only touched by you.
Sooo yea, that was a wasted paragraph of thoughts out loud, so just go with the first suggestion.

This isnt the first time this has happened, simply the most entertaining and flat out the worst example of what was trying to be passed off as my work (a stock 78 FAST doesnt quite look the same!).
So far I have been contacted by four people inquiring whether a used intake was my porting work or not....right now were batting .500 (two of them were and two of them weren't).
Guys....just send me an email or a PM (assuming you can attach pics to it)and I can tell you quickly yes or no. I have a very distinct shape I rework all the port exits to mimic, and there are other small features where its very easy for me to tell if I did the work or not.
When Matt sent me the pics and the first one opened to show me a 78mm opening and the next one completely stock port exits I just had to laugh.
Catch up with you guys soon....if any of you will be attending SEMA, please take the time to stop by our booth and say hello!
