Default Stock 98' Ss Heads

My cousin is selling is SS and said will give me is stock heads to get ported. Wouldn't that just be a waist of time? Is there any power to be had from this? I think it would be a waist but need to hear it from you guys.

You will need different valve covers and if it was me I would just find me a stock (untouched ) set of 243 (LS6) heads. I cant remeber but I belive they are 806 or 853 casting heads and they say the 241 casting heads on your 2002 are better heads. I would just save up and buy a set of AFR,Darts,Trick Flow or something and make it worth swapping them. Good Luck

take his free heads and sell them...but anyway of course you would gain power by having them ported but for the same amount you could get better heads
