raced this past weekend and felt the car nosing over at the end of the track and it started missing a little. got it home and it was low on water a quart after driving it 15 miles. if its a piston problem will i be able to tell by pulling a head? or do have to take the piston out? im hoping its a head gasket.

popped head gasket,burnt valve or broken piston ring lands.
All can be fixed without removing the engine out of the car on the aussie cars anyway.
maybe the case for you too.
