Default Pistons Whats the diffrence

Between the brands Diamond/Male/Wissco/ect .

I am looking to get a stroker motor and wondering if there is any diffrence between the pistons, is threre a reson to upgrade for the extra $100 or so .

Whats your opinion ?

i guess it depends on what you want to do with your motor. i run the mahle pistons in mine but if i was going to spray a big shot like 250 or more or run pretty big boost then i'd run a piston like a 2618 (hopefully that is the right forging number/material) which is what alot of people go ahead and get in the first place no matter if they spray big or not.

The mahles arent 2618 forgings . Thats good to know .

I probably wont spry it but you never know LOL
