Custom ground cam
230/236 .610/.615 112lsa. Now i know you guys are going to say why so little duration. But i think this pritty accurate for what i am looking for. Just because I dont want to loose very much bottom end since it is a truck. I would like to hear your guys input. I also wanted to know what type of springs i would have to go with. I already pulled out the heads and cam. I dont mind machineing out the heads. I am looking for a set of spings that i wont have to replace every six months.

Re: Custom ground cam
R1 is 232/237-.560/.560-114, made for 382/388 engines, so should make peaks a bit lower in ur bigger motor... u should really have dyno'd the last cam combo just to know where u stood for rpm peaks... i would say, try to find people with motors in the 382-400" area, with similar heads, see what size cam they have, and where they're peaking at... if a 388 with an R1 peaks at 6200, u know it would peak around 56-5800 in ur motor...
