Default Comp 978s vs. Comp 987 springs.....

Does anyone know the difference between the Comp 978 and the Comp 987 springs? Thanks a lot!

978 = 1.460 OD, 126# @ 1.85, 368# @ 1.251, 1.195 coil bind height, 403# rate

987 = 1.430 OD, 121# @ 1.80, 388# @ 1.150, 1.150 coil bind height, 344# rate

My cam has .599" lift. The 987s should be fine, shouldn't they?
