Default Mobil1 0-40 ques?

Read on her Patman said this was a great oil. I run 10-30 already and thought about going to this for oil consumption prob. What makes this better than 10-40? Also walmart had the 0-30 and 0-20 too. Would one of these be better than the 0-40? Any info would be great. Thanks, Jason

Default Re: Mobil1 0-40 ques?

10w40 is a good choice too but Mobil only makes this viscosity in synthetic in a motorcycle oil or in conventional oil.

Amsoil and Redline both have good 10w40s.

So it's not necessarily that 0w40 is better than 10w40, just that Mobil 1 comes in that viscosity. It's definitely better for cold weather operation.
