which cam will better suit my combo??
First of all this will be my first cam! I'm debating between the afr 224/228, tr230, and f13. My mods are:
lid, longtubes/ory/hooker, ported fast 90/nw90, and afr 205's 59cc, yank ss3600, sfc's and lca's.
Car is a 98Z A4. I want a cam with good drivability and the ability to produce good et's. Might add nitrous in the future. What is everyone's opinion on what will work best or give the best et's?? TIA

Honestly if I had AFRs I would go with the TR224 on a 112lsa. It has everything your looking for. It makes good power, drivebility is awesome, and it sounds like you have a cam. You'll definately get 400+ rwhp w/ your mods. I got awesome times out of it and had no where near the mods you have.

Well, strangely enough, no one has recommended the 224/228 cam Tony Mamo of AFR designed/selected to match those heads, so here is a vote for that one. That cam still makes power up to 7000 rpm, so there is little need for more duration than that.
Keep in mind that the stock A4 trans needs some internal mods to live a healthy life after 6200 rpm or so, no matter what the power level is. That 224/228 cam installed 4 degrees advanced is about the best ticket, IMO. A tighter LSA, like 112 or even 110 may work even better to make as much power as possible, without peaking too high and requiring the trans mods.
