Default What would you do?

on a ws6, would you do the small things like 90mm throttle body,90mm fast intake, etc etc first? or do a nice set of afr heads and a nice cam to go with it then do the intake, throttle body etc? ill have about 3500 kicking around, im thinking do heads/cam first to get the big stuff out of the way and ill feel more bang for my buck from the get go. opinions?

The Fast 90/90 would be the last thing i would do, in fact I do not plan on doing it at all. What year is your WS6? I would do exhaust first, followed by LS6 intake (provided you do not already have it) and ported t/b, folowed by heads and cam. Then if you still want that last 10-25 hp, go with a ported Fast 90/90.

a stock cammed and headed ls1 won't benefit much from the FAST 90/90

you may actually lose power in some rpms due to having TOO MUCH intake.

h/c first most definatly

thats what i was thinking get the bigger stuff out of the way at first. What would you guys suggest for a good heads/cam combo? i want something lumpy that sounds mean but yet makes good power all around the rpm range. Also something nitrous friendly as i eventually plan on spraying.

You got 3500 bux to spend? I'm doing heads/cam and Nitrous and it came out to about 3000 including the tune plus this fancy Nitrous bottle bracket that costs 149.99 (this is optional). I'll send you my parts list later if you want. I already bought the LS6 heads from Patriot for 385 but the rest of the list, (remembering from the top of my head and being that I am in school) are the following:

MPH Cam kit - 748 (includes the pushrods)
Melling Performance Oil Pump - 129.99 Lingenfelter - Free shipping
JWIS Double-Roller Timing Chain - 99.99 - NewEra PerformanceParts
Racetronix Fuel Pump Kit - 229.99 - Harris-Speed
Racetronix 42Lb Injectors - 267ish - Harris-Speed (I saved on shipping by purchasing both from Harris-speed)
Whole Nitrous kit that includes EVERYTHING you need - 950 - Nitrous Outlet
Tune - 400
LS7 Lifters - 99.95 - SDPC

Ya know, I think I remembered everything too. I've been doing a lot of searching for the best possible prices and I think this is the best price list out there. I could get a LS6 ported oil pump for 99.99 off this one site but research has proven the Melling to be an outstanding Pump.

I was doing heads/cam and thought about dishing out another grand for a FAST 90/90. I thought about it. Why spend a grand for 20 more horses when I could spend a grand and add 100-150 horses??

Good Luck

iv already got a nitrous kit for the car from my buddy off his 01 ss, its just the shitty zex direct port kit but i got a good deal on it. I really wanna put a good, good set of heads on this car, something along the lines of the afr's etc but want a nice matching cam to make the most of it.
