Default What LSA for the 228R cam

I have a 98 TA A4. It is my daily driver. I' ve decided to get the TSP 228R cam and was wondering what LSA to get. I was thinking about getting 112 LSA. What do you guys think?

I am having that exact cam installed on a 112 lsa, I am not an expert on anything, but it will help to have full bolt ons , converter, and gears. A good tune will also be needed .

Im planning on staying N/A and it going to be mainly a street car. I have a full exhaust, lid, filter, 160 thermostat, and FTRA.

I don't think you can really go wrong either way. The 112 will hit a little harder as far as idle is concerned and the 114 will be a little more mild. Either way, you should definitely be able to hear the cam and have a nice idle. With a good tune, the car should drive really well. Being that the car is an auto, I would take a look at a converter before the cam. It will really help the driveability and the car won't try to push through the brakes at stop lights and on deceleration due to the raised idle.

I have the 228R cam on a 114. A friend of mine has the same exact set up as me with the exception of our exhaust, but his cam is a 112.

Our idles are nearly the same ( all cars are slightly differant ). His power comes on about 300 RPMs before mine. I doubt the cam was a factor, but I put down about 8-10 more RWHP on the same dyno, the same day, about a half hour apart.

If I were to do the same cam again, I would go with the 112 cam. See sig for idle
