GMHTP Patriot Install
Anyone read the issue with the NBM z28 getting 4800 worth of parts?
I know he was laying the base for more power with injectors and pump. He also did about 600 worth of stuff not included in the price of 4800. But does anyone think that 81 HP is a little short for that much money?
$59 for HP isn't bad I know but I wanted to hear what some other people had to say, any opinions?

Yeah i guess you are right about what you are willing to spend. It makes sense to do alot of these things at once as well because it is all easy to get to at the same time as having heads, etc off....
want to see what more people think about this power gain,.....anyone?

Not sure what people were looking for, it's a small streetable cam with some budget CNC stock castings.
For the price, yes, I do think it was good gains. When I read the article last month, I said to myself "410 willl not seem like a lot, but people are used to inflated dynos and probably won't judge this against baseline, only other numbers they've seen while thinking every dyno is the same."

I guess anything in the 400hp area is huge all by itself and its a big hurdle to top 500 with bolt ons H/C. So yeah that is pretty spot on for a basic set of heads. You figure maybe a top of the line set of heads, FAST 90/90 and we are talking around 450ish right? That is pretty top notch.
I guess I just can't figure out how big or small to start.
I wonder if it would have been worth it to put a good set of rockers on that motor while he was at it?
