Need help on torque specs!!

Default Need help on torque specs!!

I looked under the LS1 how to and it gave me the torque spes in degrees and the mechanic that's buliding my mtor doesn't have the degree tool.I was just wondering how somebody without that tool could do the torque specs on the main caps.Help would be greatly appreciated!!

Anything that is tightened by rotation must follow that method if using the same bolts. If he is using a torque wrench and approximately (or worse guessing), you have a potential problem on your hands. Besides, no mechanic worth his salt wouldn't have an angle meter in his box, they are not that expensive.

+1 Almost all oem bolts are torque angle now. Unless you use arp fasteners, you'll need to know angle.
