Are the cam bolts torque to yield?
O.k., I just purchased a cam off a member on this board. I'm trying to gather all of the parts I will need to make the swap go nice and easy. I've got gaskets, timing chain, oil pump and crank bolt on the list. My question is, are the cam retainer bolts torque to yield or can they be reused? Thanks in advance.

Did you break one lol? I broke off one trying to get it to the proper torque spec it just kept stretching and would never hit the right torque number on the wrench and then it snapped. After that I said screw it, I went dow to the local speed shop and got arp cam retainer bolts and cam sprocket bolts no issues after that they only cost 15 bucks for both sets too. I mean come on how can you beat that especially on important parts like the cam? You can definitely tell the difference between those and the stock crap gm bolts.
