Default Need rev limiter setting help

I am trying to figure out what I should get my rev limiter set to? My mods are in the sig. The computer was tuned, but forget to up the rev limiter and remove the speed limiter. since the car is down for the winter, I thought this would probably be a good time to get it done. Thanks for the help.

Do you have a dyno graph with this setup? If you do then post it up so I can check it out.

Without looking at it, I would set it to 6800. Your setup should peak a bit earlier than mine, which peaks at 6400. I have my shift light set at 6700, rev limiter is at 7100. I don't need it this high anymore, just put it there to test shift points at the track over a yr ago. I have never had a problem with the limiter 200 rpms higher than the shift light setting. If you don't have one, you should get one, they're awesome!

Once the track opens up, go test different shift points, then give yourself a 2-300 cushion before the limiter.

Hope this helps.

Depends on your springs and peak power.

If you're running 918's I'd rev it to about 6600 - 6700 depending on your curve.

If you have doubles, you can go higher if needed.

6800 was what I was thinking for the rev limiter. I have a raptor shift light, just haven't installed it yet. I think im going to to set the shift light to 6500-6600 and see what I get at the track this spring.

That should be a great starting point. Good luck!
