Default FINISHED Heads and Cam few days ago ---- **(PICS AND VIDEO)**

Finished installing my LS6 style heads and Comp 228/232 Tuesday. Turned over like a champ and sounds pretty nasty (though i was looking for more lope ). Took about 13 hours total with the help of a good fellow (i say "help", i didn't really know what i was doing). Barely holds an idle, if any, but the tune is coming just after Christmas so i haven't pushed it just yet. All i can say is that i feel it yank at about 3K going about 3/4 throttle.

I'd like to extend my thanks to Patriot Performance for the awesome set of heads and Comp for their cam. Also all those on LS1Tech that have supported me and answered my newbie questions, being patient throughout. Thanks Big_Mike, MM98, Gunnar, Patrick G, Predator Z, and others.

Videos and progression pics below...

So far i'm on stock tune but right after Christmas is when i'll be able to take her to the max...

Nice job, I just did my H/C a few weeks ago. I spent a week chasing a vacuum leak...I forgot to torque the throttle body down.

You can take the pulley off the powersteering pump in order to get the bolt that holds it in place. If not you have to use a flat wrench to get it. I managed to get it without taking the pulley off and with a regular wrench.

Ditto...a bit of a PITA. It took me forever to get it back on that way. Patience...patience

I'm in the middle of mine now. I'm just waiting for the headers to come back from getting coated so I can lay them in the bay while I put the heads on. Nice car BTW.

Vrbas,

Any issues or hold ups? I'm aware of the power steering pulley. I plan to start tearing down today to measure PTVC. If I am lucky my cutters will be here today.

Mind if I call ya if I get hung up on anything?
