Default which set of heads?

I have been doing a lot of research and have narrowed it down to AFR 205s or ET 215s. I also plan on getting a cam somewhere in the 224-230 range. This car is more of a hobby than DD so which would give me the most bang for the buck?

What is working for you guys?

man the AFR205 is a killer head. great bang for the buck, as long as you got the correct cam profile, intake and tune to go with it.

+1 on the AFR's, ETP's are a great head but pricey.

i've been doing more searching and came across patriot heads, they look much cheaper than both AFR and ETP's (ported LS6 style heads) Is there really a significant difference between the overall performance of these three heads, i see similar flow numbers

The more expensive aftermarket castings will provide a better bottomend for a street car, while still providing great flow up to too.

Check out the TEA ported TFS heads. They have great low and mid #'s and are still strong on top and in the same $$ ballpark as AFR's. After much thought I believe that is what I'm going with but I need to figure out a cam to complement them. The 13 degree valve angle offers several advantages including more PTV clearance without flycutting if you want to run a big cam. Just a thought!

I am going with the AFR's myself and currently have them on order at AFR.

As for your question on the Patriot's, which head are you referring to? They have a line of ported heads based on GM casting and recently introduced their own casting, although I am not sure of its availability at this point.
