Are Roller Rockers worth buying and what brand?
I have been thinking about buying roller rocker, I am looking real hard at the Jessels but I am open to suggestions of other brands. I am pretty sure that I will have to use valve cover spacers or Nasty Performance raised valve covers. Can you see any performance or power gain on the dyno with buying them. You can look at my signiture below and see what I have. Thanks

I would recommend the crane cams quick lift rockers. Depending on what cam profile you have, i would use either there 1.7 or 1.8's. You will spend in the $700 range for there complete set up. Foe more info on them, go to cranes website and check them out. I have used there rockers several times, and they do make a difference in both hp/trq, and quicker aceleration also.

If you go to a larger ratio (1.8 instead of 1.7) you will get more valve lift for the same amount of cam lift. You will probably see a slight improvement on the dyno. I think the bigger benefit would be from adjustables, being able to correctly set valve lash. Honestly though, a lot of people will tell you the stockers are tough to beat. They don't look like much, but they do the job. For $700 there are other things I would consider long before rockers. Just my opinion though, if you do end up getting a set, be sure to let us know what you think.

1.7 will be fine. they actually come of there seat at 1.78 to .275 amount of lift then go back to 1.7 ratio, then again go back to 1.78 on the closing side. These rockers make the cam act bigger then it really is.

"Quick lift" also means "hard close" which doesn't do lots of good things for valve bounce on the seat.
The LS OEM rockers are very good pieces with the weak point being the fulcrum bearings. I'd consider using stockers with better bearings/fulcrum as a first upgrade.
For really high end LS engines there isn't a very large choice of rockers. Things can get pricey quickly in that arena.

In my opinion, yes. The stock rockers have a wide wipe pattern and with aftermarket valve springs will accelerate valve guide wear. Correctly set up, aftermarket rockers can optimize your wipe pattern and minimize guide wear. If you are simply going to bolt them in and not take the time to set them up, don't bother. I have worked with both the Cranes and Yella Terra's, both are very good rockers. I am not impressed by the number of failures I have seen on the Scorpions to date and the Harlands aren't a very good structural design from what I have seen.
