Default Trq2 vs 240/244 Dyno comparison and Question

Guys,

I've attached a couple of my Dyno graphs......one is with the Trq2, and the other is with a 240/244 114LSA....setup is a 408cu in with: Ported 243s(Patriot), 11.0:1 compression, LTs, true duals, BBK SSI intake, 80mm TB, Lvl5 4L60e, 3000 Vig, 255 walbro, 44lb injectors, custom tune.

The result of the cam/intake swap is: 361rwhp/345rwtq -to- 375rwhp/353rwtq...hmm....

Could I change the cam positioning to gain anything here?...the current events are:

IVO = 10 BTDC
IVC = 50ABDC
EVO = 60 BBDC
EVC = 4 ATDC

...the cam is advanced 4deg to get the above events....if I advance it another 2deg (i.e.- close the Intake Valve sooner) will it net more torque and/or power?....

What else should I do?...It seems like I should be getting more out of this setup...

Advancing the cam is more than likely gonna bring the torque in sooner, but not much. I would think about changing the intake to a FAST 90/90, and doing something with the heads. don't see your graph overlays either. these are very low numbers for this engine combo anyways.

..the 243s are ported/flow 300fcm at a .600 lift...which isn't too bad(understand there are better ones out there)....and I understand the 90/90 logic..but it's not going to increase my numbers enough to match shift123's...(465rwhp/482rwtq)....that's a 90rwhp difference...the SSI intake should be very close to the LS6 intake's flow performance...there has to be something else going on. Would a Truck's drivetrain incur that much parasitic loss?

Mine was dynoed on a dynojet so my numbers are probably a bit high compared to what a Mustang will do. My heads are 241's w/ a home port job. Flow numbers are unknown.

You are WAY down on power. MY 01 Z06 made 465/422 with a set of ported ET LS6 heads that flowed 309@.600 and a HPE S Cam 238/242 .698/.612 115lsa cam. Mail order tune from Chuck @ HPE. That was all on a stock bottom end, fuel system, intake, TB, through a 6 speed although the Vettes IRS loses more than the Fbody solid. I did have the transmission internals polished but still you should be making way more with a 408.

The first time i dynoed my car only made 411rwhp on a dynojet and 2 weeks later broke a valve spring, had them all replaced (ET sent me an entire kit for free!) and re dynoed and made the 465rwhp on a mustnag dyno. Only changes were valve springs, the transmission internals being polished (by Randy at RPM) and TIRE PRESSURE. I dynoed the first time with 15psi in drag radials and pump them up to 32 the 2nd time. Tire pressure can have a huge effect on dynoes.
