Questions about some Milled heads
I have a chance of getting some milled 5.3 heads, milled 30. What would the compression be afterwards and would it clear a TR 230 reverse split cam? Thanks let me know.

Go here https://ls1tech.com/forums/advanced-engineering-tech/394937-updated-valve-event-dcr-scr-header-length-spreadsheet.html plug your values into the spread sheet you can download. Really useful tool.

We're gonna need a little more info than that! Usually for these LS engines, it seems every .006" milled is worth about a cc. So, whatever 5.3 heads are stock, take off 5cc's and that's gonna be pretty close. It'd be better to just cc them yourself or ask a local machine shop to do it. There's a bunch of compression calculators all over the internet so I'm sure you can take it from there.

It is about .005/.006 per CC mill
As far as clearing safely a TR230 111, I doubt it, but only real way to tell is measure, but I would say no on intake side (depending on valve size and if valves recessed or no).
