torque specs on rod bolts????

Default torque specs on rod bolts????

i have gotten me some new bearing for my 6.0l project and im needing to find out the torque specs on the rod bolts. I also need to know if there is a certain pattern on torquing the heads with arp bolts. thanks fior any help guys.

If you have ARP rod bolts there should be a piece of paper in the package they came in with the specs. I believe they're 30, loosen, 30, loosen, then 40lb/ft

the rod bolts are stoc the head bolts are arp. im just putting bearings in the rods for the momet until i can buy a rotating assembly. christmas has killed me lol

Save yourself some *** pain and buy the ARP rod bolts. You'll kick your self in the nuts if you spin a rod bearing due to rod bolt stretch.

this is a street car that i will hardly ever drive. im not that worried if it stays together. just need to get the short block together today so i can get it running in the next few days.

well the thing about it is it is not a race car. its a street car so im not to worried about how much power the car makes. i am ready to get it together, i found something online that says the torque specs are 30 and then turn 60 degrees does that sound about right.
